Terms & conditions
People Snake & Ladder is a game site. By using it you agree to
play fairly and not to interfere with the game, other players or the
site itself.
Coins are virtual. They are for use in the game only. They have
no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred
to another account.
Your account. Keep your password to yourself. You are
responsible for what happens on your account. Accounts found cheating,
automating play or abusing the site may be closed, and any coins on
them are lost.
Refunds. If something goes wrong with a purchase — coins
do not arrive, you are charged twice, or a fault on the site stops the
game working — tell us and we will try to fix it first. Most
problems can be sorted out in a few minutes.
If we cannot fix it, you get your money back. That is the whole policy.
We are not going to keep your money for something that did not work.
What is not refundable is simply changing your mind. Coins are
delivered to your account the moment a payment clears, so once they
are spent in the game they cannot be returned.
To ask for a refund, use the contact page
and include your order number. Payments are processed by Stripe.
The service. The game is provided as it is. We do our best to
keep it running but cannot promise it will never be down.
Privacy
Who we are. People Snake & Ladder (peoplesnakeladder.com)
is run by its owner. You can reach us at any time through the
contact page.
What we keep. Your player name, your email address, your coin
balance, your game settings and your order history. If you write to us
through the contact form we also keep your message so we can reply.
Like most websites, our server and the services we use may log your IP
address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running
and secure. Our own pages also record which page was visited and which
website sent the visitor, so we can see how many people use the site.
Why we use it. To run your account, deliver what you buy, answer
your messages, keep the game fair and secure, and meet our legal and tax
obligations.
Your password. Stored scrambled, not as text. Nobody here can
read it, which is also why we can never tell you what it is.
Card details. We never see them. Payments are handled entirely
by Stripe, our card provider. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s
secure payment page and never touches this site. Stripe handles your
payment under its own privacy policy.
Advertising. The site is supported by
advertising from Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may
use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads. See
“Advertising cookies” in the Cookies section below for what
that involves and the choices you have.
Who else gets your data. Only the services needed to run the
site: our web host, Stripe for payments and Google for advertising. We
do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it. We keep your account details while your
account is open. Records of completed orders are kept for as long as the
law requires for accounting and tax.
Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example under the
UK or EU GDPR), you may have the right to see, correct or delete your
personal data, to object to or restrict some uses of it, and to complain
to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information
Commissioner’s Office). To use any of these rights, ask us through
the contact page.
Deleting your account. Ask us and we will remove it, along with
your personal details. Records of completed orders are kept where the
law requires it.
Children. The game is family friendly, but accounts and purchases
are meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or
guardian before creating an account or buying coins. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from children under 13; if you think we have,
tell us and we will delete it.

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use two kinds.

without them.

Advertising cookies. We use Google AdSense to show ads, which
helps keep the game free to play. Google and its partners may use
cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads and
measure how they perform and, if you agree, to personalise the ads you
see based on your visits to this and other websites.
Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the UK, the
European Economic Area and Switzerland, advertising cookies are only
used if you agree through the cookie message shown on the site, and you
can change your choice later using the link provided with that message.
If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised
using your browsing history.
Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at
policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can manage or switch off personalised ads in
Google Ads Settings,
or through aboutads.info
or youronlinechoices.com.
Managing cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your
browser settings. If you block essential cookies you will be signed out,
your cart will be empty and parts of the game may not work.
